what is counselling?

Counselling is a way of helping people to overcome personal difficulties by talking, exploring, understanding and changing how they see themselves.

There is no charge for our service and the maximum amount of sessions depends on the type of service being accessed. Our current maximum is 16 sessions on a one to one basis.

We are based in a private building which provides a warm and inviting environment.

You can access our counselling service by ringing us up to make an appointment.

Based on the information you give us, we offer you the counselling approach that best suits your needs.

See our Frequently Asked Questions page for further information.

Listening Ear adheres to the strictest standards of confidentiality subject to certain exceptions which will be explained to you on your first visit.

Listening Ear is the first organisation on Merseyside to become accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
